Lake Lanier Olympic Park Boathouse

The Lake Lanier Olympic Park Boathouse contains the new homes for the Lake Lanier Rowing Club and Canoe & Kayak Club, as well as Gainesville city offices and event space.  Situated on the venue for the 1996 Olympic events, the boathouse is a travel destination for athletes as well as a space for conferences and other events, generating revenue for the city of Gainesville.  The lower level of the structure consists of reinforced concrete construction and contains rowing, canoeing, and kayaking boat storage, club offices, and workout space.  Two upper stories of steel framing house a 9,000 square foot ballroom with operable partitions, a terrace, other event spaces, and city offices.
